944 (with A/C), 924S(with air conditioning), 944 Turbo & 944S2 fan switch. 3 pole switch
Not suitable for 944 2.5L (8v & 16v) & 2.7L built without air con.
The switching temperatures for this switch are 85�C & 95�C and 92�C & 102�C
Prone to failing with age, these fan switches, located in the main cooling radiator, control the switching on and off of the cooling fans after the engine has been switched off. They tend to fail in the “on” position leading to the cooling fans running permanently until your battery is completely discharged leaving you, the driver, completely stranded because your car won’t start!
Suitable for the following vehicles :-
944 (all 2.5L 8v, 2.5L 16v & 2.7L engine – NOT TURBO) vehicles built between 1982-1989 with air condititioning
924S (all 2.5L) vehicles built 1986-1988 with air conditioning
944 Turbo – all models (Air Con & non-Air Con models) built 1986-1991
944S2 (3.0L) – all models (Air Con & non-Air Con models) built 1989-1991
968 – all models (Air Con & non-Air Con models) built 1992-1995
